Day 1
Arrive in Nelson and see the region from stunning viewpoints before visiting city Art studios & galleries for a snapshot of the talent & versatility of local artists. Enjoy lunch with a leading Nelson Artist before an afternoon savouring the secrets of wine making and the simplicity of Food Matching with some of the regions most noted wine personalities. All wineries & vineyards visited are small boutique and family owned & almost all wines tasted are award winners. The evening is free for guests to enjoy dinner at one of our recommended restaurants or cafés. Unwind at the end of the day at the luxurious accommodation where breakfast will be served the following morning.
Day 2
This is your day to discover Marlborough. Visit the most historic vineyard with a 135 year old cellar in Marlborough and see native falcons as part of the Falcons for Vineyards programme. Indulge in a gourmet lunch in a vineyard before being lead on a private guided winemaker tour with tank and barrel sampling and learn how the blending process works. Watch as your host prepares local food to match with world class wine and return to Nelson enjoying the picturesque journey.
