Nelson in a day

To gain a quick appreciation of what makes this area so attractive to live and play in then 'Nelson in a Day' takes you on a drive past historic precincts and view points overlooking the city and Tasman Bay, through the rich fruit and wine producing areas of the Waimea Plains, the Upper Moutere and the historic German village of Sarau to the incredible Riwaka Resurgence.

After refreshments, stroll through superb Podocarp forest to the natural drain hole of Marble Mountain.

Move on to Marahau, the entrance to Abel Tasman National Park before walking down to the picturesque Split Apple Rock beach where you will enjoy a Kiwi gourmet picnic lunch on the sheltered golden sand before starting the return journey.

Visit the stunning Kaiteriteri beach before a stop-off at the historic granite wharf at Motueka & view the rusting hulk of the Janie Seddon.
